Frome Town Robins are the youth section of Frome Town FC, the 2012 South West Charter Standard Community Club of the year.  We run teams for school children from reception year to Under 18s.  We offer football for boys and girls of all ages & abilities, giving them the chance to maximise their potential, in a fun, safe & enjoyable environment. Our Coaches All coaches are FA Qualified, with a full CRB disclosure and up to date first aid.   A number of our coaches have attended the ground breaking new FA Youth coaching courses specifically designed for coaches who specialise in working with young players. Training & Matches  Training takes place on a Thursday evening at the Hunter French Sports Ground (BA11 4LJ)  during the lighter evenings, moving to Frome Leisure Centre during the winter.  Our teams play in both the Mid-Wilts League and the Mid Somer Norton Youth Football League at Oakfield School with matches taking place on Saturday/Sunday mornings.  We also often set up special coaching sessions, including holiday Soccer Schools, Tesco Skills Days and Goalkeeping Sessions. Charter Standard  In 2011 the club was recognised by the FA with the award of its prestigious Charter Standard Club Status. We are the only club in Frome to have achieved this and are proud of our work with local schools and organisations.   In 2012 we were named the Charter Standard Club of the Year for the South West’s region.  If you are interested in joining our club please contact the appropriate age group manager below. Frome Town playing in Europe! Frome Town's youth section, The Robins, continue to go from strength to strength with teams playing in both the MidWilts and MidSomer Norton youth leagues.   The under-13s team have had a season to remember, winning their league at with an undefeated record and to top it off they have now qualified for Europe!  The squad have been invited to attend a tournament hosted by our twin town Murrhardt, based in Southern Germany.  This is a wonderful opportunity for the boys to visit our twin town, make new friends, learn about another country - and of course, play some European football (fingers crossed it doesn't go to penalties). It really is an experience too good to miss. We do not have much time to raise the funds needed to make this trip happen, so have a number of fundraising activities planned.  Any help or support you can give to these would be really appreciated. Some of the team will be running a Grand National Sweepstake during todays game There is a sponsored 20km bike ride on 22nd April and a 5km run (date to be confirmed) A quiz night at Oakfield school on 22nd April A bucket collection at the Frome Town/Chippenham game on 17th April A fun day/BBQ at the teams last game of the season vs FT Youth We would like to thank Kim Martin and the team at Flourish, Bristol who have designed our tour logo and also arranged sponsorship on behalf of Diabetes UK to provide tracksuits for the boys and also Kevin Prandy and the team at CPM Concrete, Mells who are sponsoring the teams shirts for the trip. If you are able to help or make a donation to the trip please see Jamie Malley, Justin Seviour or Gary Collinson or you can donate online through the teams GoFundMe campaign which can be found at www.gofundme.com/Robinsu13 All the adults and coaches going on the trip will be paying their own costs - the money we can raise will only be used for the boys. Thanks
